Developmental Editing

You’ve finished your draft! Now comes the fun part. I review your manuscript for big-picture elements like pacing, character, story, and themes. I also pay attention to the reader expectations of each subgenre of romance and erotica and their character archetypes. You’ll receive your manuscript with in-line comments as well as a summary sheet of the strengths of the story and where I had some lingering questions.

Cost: $62/hour

Coaching

Facing a blank page or fighting writer’s block can be exhausting. Talking out sticky plot points or character arcs can help writers feel motivated to keep at it. I offer coaching sessions for writers working on their latest project. After each session, you’ll receive a recording of our call (done via Zoom) as well as concrete next steps. Available as an a la carte service or in partnership with developmental editing.

Cost: $75/hour (a la carte)/ $65/hour (with dev editing)

Guest Teaching/Guest Speaking

Working with writers to unlock their creativity around writing steamy sex scenes is the best. I’ve given talks at the Women in Publishing Conference on how to write better sex scenes as well as in smaller workshop settings.
