The first question every romance fan has: How did you come to the genre?

I’m a reader first. I fell in love with Lisa Kleypas’ Hathaway series, soon followed by the Wallflowers. (#StVincentStan)

I got my start working at Sourcebooks Casablanca at the height of the 50 Shades of Grey mania. Working there taught me the importance of understanding the romance market as well as each individual story. When working with authors, I’m thinking about where booksellers would shelf their title. Would it be paranormal M/M? Historical romance?

As a freelance developmental editor, I’ve worked on titles published under Wise Ink and New Degree Press as well as with indie authors interested in the self-publishing route. I offer authors constructive feedback on pacing, dialogue, story structure, and character.
